Both in-person and virtual consultations are available. Toronto patients can meet Dr. Xiao face to face at the Yorkville clinic or connect via secure video from anywhere in the GTA. Walk-in bloodwork is available at nearby labs, including Mount Sinai, Dynacare on Bloor, and LifeLabs on Yonge.
Custom-compounded hormones are prepared by our licensed Ontario pharmacy partner. Toronto patients can pick up locally or have compounds shipped directly to their door.

How Consultations Work

Discovery Call
A brief introductory conversation to understand your health history, current symptoms, and goals. This call is complimentary and confidential.

Bloodwork in Toronto
We send requisitions to a laboratory near you. Toronto has excellent options throughout the GTA: Mount Sinai labs, Dynacare on Bloor Street, and LifeLabs locations across Toronto from North York to Scarborough to Etobicoke. Draw your labs at your convenience.

Physician Consultation
A thorough appointment with Dr. Xiao — in person at our Yorkville clinic or via secure video — to review your results, establish your baseline Vis Viva Score, and design your individualized protocol.

Treatment & Ongoing Monitoring
Prescriptions are sent to our compounding pharmacy. Compounds can be picked up locally or shipped to your Toronto address. Follow-up labs and check-ins — in person or virtual — are scheduled at regular intervals. Dosing is titrated to response.

Can I see the physician in person at the Yorkville clinic?
Yes. In-person consultations are available at our Yorkville clinic. Many patients prefer the initial consultation in person, then transition to virtual follow-ups for convenience. Both options are fully supported.
Where do I get bloodwork done in Toronto?
Toronto has multiple convenient options. We send requisitions to Mount Sinai labs, Dynacare on Bloor Street, and LifeLabs locations across the GTA — from North York to Scarborough to Etobicoke. Walk in at your convenience. Results are sent directly to our office for review.
Is BHRT covered by OHIP?
The consultation fee is not covered by OHIP. However, many bloodwork requisitions are covered when ordered by a physician. Some extended health plans may cover a portion of compounded prescriptions. We are happy to provide documentation for insurance submission.
